Hi, I'm Shannon.
I'm an Natural Resources and Conservation Extension Agent. My job is to provide environmental education and outreach for Polk County residents. Which is a fancy way of saying: I show people how to coexist with wildlife and protect our local waterways by adopting simple, eco-friendly behaviors. But the coolest thing that I do? I show people how to slow down smell the water lilies and develop a lifelong love for Florida and her ecosystems.
I am available for local presentations, guest lectures, workshops, and organized training related to natural resources, the environment, and Florida ecosystems.
Additionally, I am available for small consulting or contracted projects, with employer approval, which do not conflict with my position as a University employee or to the land-grant mission.
